  1. Identify and cultivate potential donors who align with Caltech's mission and vision.
  2. Develop and implement strategies for prospect research and management.
  3. Utilize data and analytics to identify and prioritize potential donors.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with potential and current donors, including alumni, corporations, foundations, and individuals.
  5. Coordinate and lead prospect meetings and events, both on and off campus.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
  7. Conduct thorough research on prospects to gather information on their giving history, interests, and capacity to give.
  8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of potential donors and their engagement with Caltech.
  9. Create personalized cultivation plans for top prospects, including regular communication and stewardship efforts.
  10. Monitor and evaluate prospect development performance and progress, and provide reports to leadership.
  11. Stay current on industry best practices and trends in prospect development and philanthropy.
  12. Represent Caltech at events and conferences to network and build relationships with potential donors.
  13. Participate in fundraising and donor engagement activities, such as proposal writing and donor recognition events.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all donor interactions and data management.
  15. Serve as a brand ambassador for Caltech, promoting its mission and values to potential donors and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business, Marketing, Or Nonprofit Management.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Prospect Research, Fundraising, Or Development Within A Higher Education Institution.

  • Excellent Analytical Skills And Proficiency In Using Prospect Research Tools And Databases.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Donors, Alumni, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Experience Managing And Supervising A Team, With A Proven Track Record Of Leading Successful Fundraising Campaigns And Meeting Fundraising Goals.
