- Overseeing the payroll process for the AMS division, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all payroll transactions.
- Leading a team of payroll specialists and providing guidance and support to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any discrepancies.
- Developing and implementing efficient payroll processes and procedures to improve overall operations.
- Managing and updating employee records in payroll systems and ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
- Conducting regular audits and reviews to identify and resolve any payroll errors or issues.
- Preparing payroll reports and analyzing data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Communicating with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations to ensure compliance and make necessary adjustments.
- Mentoring and training team members to maintain a high level of expertise and efficiency in payroll operations.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and efficiencies in the payroll process.

Extensive Experience In Payroll Operations: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Payroll Operations, Preferably In A Fast-Paced, High-Growth Company. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of All Aspects Of Payroll, Including Tax Laws, Compliance, And Reporting.
Knowledge Of Global Payroll Regulations: Bytedance Is A Global Company With A Presence In Multiple Countries. The Payroll Operations Lead Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Payroll Regulations In Different Countries, Including But Not Limited To The Us, China, India, And Europe.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Payroll Operations Lead, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Payroll Professionals. They Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Support, And Foster A Positive And Collaborative Team Environment.
