We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented CPU Application Platform Engineer Intern (Server Platform) to join our team for the 2025 Summer/Fall season. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of our server platform. We are looking for candidates who have a strong background in CPU architecture and are pursuing a PhD in Computer Science or a related field.   1. Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain the CPU application platform for ByteDance's server platform.
  2. Stay updated on the latest advancements in CPU architecture and incorporate them into the development of the platform.
  3. Work closely with other engineers and researchers to optimize the performance and efficiency of the server platform.
  4. Design, implement, and test new features and enhancements for the CPU application platform.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs related to the platform.
  6. Conduct research and experiments to improve the platform's capabilities and performance.
  7. Document and communicate technical specifications and progress to team members and stakeholders.
  8. Continuously learn and explore new technologies and techniques to enhance the server platform.
  9. Participate in team meetings and provide valuable insights and suggestions for improvement.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with other interns and team members to complete assigned projects and tasks.
  12. Take ownership and responsibility for assigned projects and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  13. Follow industry best practices and standards to ensure the platform's security and reliability.
  14. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of future interns and employees in the CPU application platform team.
  15. Represent ByteDance and the CPU application platform team in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Successful Candidate For This Role Must Have Completed A Phd Program In Computer Science Or A Related Field, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In Computer Architecture And Server Platform Design.

  • Experience With Cpu Architecture And Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cpu Architecture And Design Principles, Including Experience With X86 And/Or Arm-Based Processors. This Knowledge Will Be Essential For Developing And Optimizing Server Platform Solutions.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Software Development: The Role Requires A High Level Of Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As C/C++, Python, And Java, As Well As Experience With Software Development Tools And Techniques. This Will Be Necessary For Developing And Testing Server Platform Software.

  • Familiarity With Server Hardware And Systems: A Solid Understanding Of Server Hardware, Including Processors, Memory, Storage, And Networking Components, Is Essential For This Role. Familiarity With Server Operating Systems And Virtualization Technologies Is Also A Plus.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: As A Cpu Application Platform Engineer Intern, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting And Optimizing Server Platform Solutions. Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills Are Necessary To Identify And Resolve Performance Issues And Improve Overall System Efficiency.
