  1. Develop and implement transmission system plans for clients in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential transmission system challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of transmission plans.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams on transmission planning and engineering.
  5. Stay updated with industry developments and trends to continuously improve and enhance transmission planning processes.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  7. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to present transmission plans and recommendations to clients.
  8. Utilize specialized software and tools to aid in transmission planning and analysis.
  9. Ensure all projects adhere to budget and timeline constraints.
  10. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to promote repeat business and referrals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles Is Necessary For A Transmission Planning Consultant To Effectively Analyze And Design Complex Power Systems.

  • Professional Engineering License: Having A Pe License Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Expertise And Ensures That The Consultant Is Familiar With Industry Standards And Regulations.

  • 3-5 Years Of Experience In Transmission Planning: Prior Experience In Transmission Planning, Preferably With A Consulting Or Utility Company, Is Essential For A Candidate To Understand The Complexities And Challenges Of The Job.

  • Knowledge Of Power System Analysis Software: A Transmission Planning Consultant Should Be Proficient In Using Industry-Standard Software Such As Pss/E, Pslf, Or Pscad To Perform Power Flow, Transient Stability, And Contingency Analysis.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Consultant, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Clients And Team Members From Diverse Backgrounds. Therefore, Exceptional Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
