We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Staff Expeditor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment to our construction sites.   1. Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to determine materials and equipment needed for construction projects.
  2. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders, and track deliveries.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials and equipment.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all orders, deliveries, and inventories.
  5. Proactively identify potential delays or issues with deliveries and work to resolve them quickly.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and expedite urgent requests.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  8. Follow up on backordered or delayed items and provide updates to project teams.
  9. Assist with cost tracking and budget management related to materials and equipment.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members, if applicable.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials and equipment.
  14. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Job Qualifications
  • Construction Experience: A Staff Expeditor Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In The Construction Industry, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Construction Processes, Materials, And Equipment.

  • Organizational Skills: A Staff Expeditor Must Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Manage Multiple Tasks And Deadlines. This Includes The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Coordinate With Multiple Teams, And Maintain Accurate Records.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For A Staff Expeditor, As They Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders Such As Project Managers, Contractors, And Vendors. They Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally Both Verbally And In Writing.

  • Attention To Detail: A Staff Expeditor Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Materials And Equipment Are Ordered And Delivered Correctly. They Should Also Have The Ability To Review And Understand Construction Plans And Specifications To Ensure Accuracy.

  • Time Management: Meeting Deadlines Is Critical In The Construction Industry, And A Staff Expeditor Should Have Strong Time Management Skills. They Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Pressure To Meet Project Timelines And Minimize Delays.
