
Project Controls Specialist
At Burns & McDonnell, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our team. This individual should have a strong technical skill set as well as excellent organizational and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and ensuring that our high standards of quality are upheld.We are looking for someone who has at least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, a minimum of five years of experience in project controls, and extensive experience in cost engineering and project planning. The candidate should also have knowledge of MS Office applications and ERP systems, and familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6.We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and is able to handle multiple tasks with precision and accuracy. The candidate should be a team player, able to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is committed to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project control systems and processes to ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables.
- Analyze and evaluate project performance, schedule, and cost data to identify areas of improvement.
- Monitor and report on project progress, cost, and schedules.
- Develop and implement project budget and cost control processes.
- Prepare project reports and presentations to communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure that project plans are developed and tracked in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to reduce schedule and cost variances.
- Analyze and forecast project costs and schedules.
- Facilitate change management processes to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and third-party vendors.
