Job Description

At Burns & McDonnell, our Procurement Specialists play an integral role in streamlining our procurement processes to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective purchasing. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of procurement experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and a working knowledge of ERP systems. We are looking for a collaborative team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to think creatively and strategically.If you’re a driven professional with a passion for procurement and a customer-service mindset, this position is for you! Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals and bids to ensure best value for the company
  2. Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  3. Negotiate and manage contracts, including pricing, payment terms, and other contractual obligations
  4. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including evaluating and monitoring current supplier performance
  5. Research and analyze market conditions, prices, and trends to identify potential vendors
  6. Produce procurement reports and documents to support all procurement activities
  7. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth procurement process
  8. Manage the procurement process, from creating purchase orders to ensuring accurate invoicing
  9. Utilize ERP systems to manage all aspects of the procurement process
  10. Develop and implement strategies and processes to improve the procurement process
