GIS Specialist

The GIS Specialist will be responsible for providing cutting-edge GIS technology to our engineering and construction projects. To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of GIS principles and techniques, as well as experience in data analysis and manipulation. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, have excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.The required qualifications for this position include:• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or related field• At least three years of experience with GIS software and/or GIS systems• Proficiency in ESRI software, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcSDE• Knowledge of database technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle• Experience with data analysis and manipulation• Strong problem-solving and communication skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain GIS systems and software to support engineering and construction projects.
2. Analyze and manipulate data from a variety of sources.
3. Create and update GIS databases and related information.
4. Provide technical support for GIS related projects.
5. Prepare maps, charts, and other graphic products for presentations.
6. Develop and implement GIS strategies for projects.
7. Maintain accurate records of all GIS activities.
8. Provide training and guidance to other staff members on the use of GIS systems and software.
9. Ensure compliance with all GIS-related laws, regulations, and standards.
10. Research and stay up to date with emerging trends and technology in GIS.
