
Environmental Scientist
We are looking for a talented Environmental Scientist to join Burns & McDonnell’s team. In this role, you will work closely with our team to ensure environmental compliance for projects and provide environmental consulting services. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to our clients in environmental compliance and permitting matters.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting and/or environmental engineering. The successful candidate will also have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field. The successful candidate should also have a strong background in environmental regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them.At Burns & McDonnell, we value collaboration, communication, and a passion for the environment. Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients in environmental compliance and permitting matters • Interpret and apply environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws • Develop environmental reports, plans, and assessments as required to meet project goals • Conduct environmental site assessments, risk assessments, and environmental impact analyses • Prepare permit applications and other project documents to ensure compliance with regulations • Monitor changes in environmental regulations and advise clients accordingly • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely and effective manner • Educate clients on environmental regulations, best practices, and industry trends • Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness of environmental issues • Research and analyze data to identify trends and potential threats to the environment • Maintain current knowledge of environmental standards and regulations
