Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced and passionate Environmental Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, a commitment to eco-friendly practices, and an eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, plus a minimum of three years of relevant experience. You should have a thorough knowledge of environmental regulations and laws, and be proficient in data analysis and GIS software. Additionally, you must be a highly organized and self-motivated professional, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. A passion for environmental protection is essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Research and analyze environmental data to identify areas of concern and propose solutions to address them.
  2. Prepare environmental reports and presentations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.
  4. Monitor and evaluate environmental impacts of projects, programs, and activities.
  5. Provide guidance and support to project teams on environmental issues.
  6. Maintain accurate records of environmental data and documents.
  7. Utilize GIS software to analyze environmental data and create maps.
  8. Develop and present educational materials on environmental protection and sustainability.
  9. Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure environmental compliance.
