
Environmental Scientist
Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team and help protect and improve the environment for future generations. As an Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for broad data analysis and interpretation, as well as project management for a diverse array of environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working in the environmental field. Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field, Master’s degree preferred. A working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and related regulations is essential. Experience with NEPA, CEQA, wetland delineation, and air quality permitting is preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct broad data analysis and interpretation for environmental projects.
- Manage environmental projects to completion.
- Interpret and apply federal and state environmental laws and related regulations.
- Utilize knowledge of NEPA, CEQA, wetland delineation, and air quality permitting.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve environmental outcomes.
- Maintain records and databases of environmental data.
- Research and stay current on environmental regulations and technologies.
- Participate in the development of environmental policies and plans.
