
Environmental Planner
At Burns & McDonnell, we are looking for an experienced Environmental Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental planning strategies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about environmental planning and has a track record of success in this field.To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of three years of experience in environmental planning or a related field, a Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, natural sciences, engineering, or a related field, and a strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and requirements. Additionally, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team setting.We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who is able to take initiative and work independently. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental planning strategies that adhere to applicable regulations.
- Monitor and assess environmental issues, such as air and water pollution and land use.
- Prepare environmental impact reports, plans, and permits.
- Develop and recommend environmental policies, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct research on environmental issues and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and policies.
- Communicate with stakeholders, such as local government officials, contractors, and environmental agencies.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice and training to staff and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
