
Environmental Planner
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Planner to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. In this role, you will work with our team to develop, manage, and implement environmental plans and strategies. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating environmental risks associated with projects.To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and sustainability initiatives. You should have a strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). You should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively.The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or a related field and at least five years of experience in an environmental planning role. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who is passionate about environmental protection and sustainability. Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and implement environmental plans and strategies.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate environmental risks associated with projects.
- Research and understand local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the public.
- Create reports and presentations on environmental plans and strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate projects to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Stay informed of new developments and changes in the environmental planning field.
- Provide advice and guidance related to environmental planning to the team.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure environmental sustainability.
- Prepare environmental statements and other documents required for project approval.
