
Energy Analyst
As an Energy Analyst at Burns & McDonnell, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the environment by helping our clients reduce their energy consumption and associated costs. Our clients range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and we are looking for a creative, innovative, and driven individual who is passionate about making a difference in the energy industry. To be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related discipline, as well as at least two years of experience working in energy analysis. You must also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to effectively interact with clients on a daily basis. Knowledge of energy software applications, energy conservation measures, and building systems is required. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work independently and take initiative with projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze clients' energy consumption and associated costs in order to identify areas of improvement and recommend energy conservation measures.
- Develop energy management plans and strategies for clients that are tailored to their individual needs.
- Develop energy models and simulations to analyze the potential impact of proposed energy conservation measures.
- Work with clients to develop and implement energy efficiency projects.
- Monitor and report on the progress of energy efficiency projects.
- Stay up-to-date on energy trends and best practices in order to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
- Utilize energy software applications to analyze data and create reports.
- Develop and present recommendations to clients to improve energy efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals for energy efficiency projects.
- Maintain records of client interactions and progress of projects.
