Job Description

At Burns & McDonnell, our Energy Analysts are an integral part of our team, providing insight and analysis into energy-related issues impacting our clients. Our Energy Analysts are highly-skilled professionals who are knowledgeable in energy industry trends, energy accounting, and analytical principles.We are looking for an experienced Energy Analyst to join our team who has a passion for energy and an understanding of how energy systems interact with the environment. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field and at least three years of experience in the energy industry. A thorough knowledge of energy economics, energy efficiency, and energy markets is essential.We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable interacting with clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze energy-related issues for clients and provide insight into potential solutions.
  2. Research and stay up-to-date on energy industry trends and advancements.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Utilize knowledge of energy economics, energy efficiency, and energy markets to provide innovative solutions.
  5. Prepare reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  6. Participate in team meetings and provide input on team projects.
  7. Monitor energy budget and accounting activities.
  8. Implement policies and procedures to ensure optimal energy performance.
  9. Develop strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
