  1. Lead the design and construction of power generation and distribution facilities, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
  2. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other team members to develop innovative solutions for engineering challenges.
  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  4. Create detailed project plans and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  5. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
  6. Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and other technical documents.
  7. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and identify any potential issues.
  8. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or questions.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements in technology, and regulatory requirements related to power engineering.
  10. Adhere to company safety protocols and ensure all designs and construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations.
  11. Participate in project meetings and presentations to share progress, discuss challenges, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  12. Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets company and client standards.
  13. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering: A Strong Foundation In Civil Engineering Principles And Concepts Is Essential For A Civil Engineer Working In The Power Sector.

  • Professional Engineering (Pe) License: A Pe License Demonstrates That The Engineer Has Met The Necessary Education, Experience, And Examination Requirements To Practice Engineering In A Specific State.

  • Experience With Power Projects: Experience Working On Power Projects, Such As Electrical Substations, Power Plants, Or Transmission Lines, Is A Valuable Qualification For A Civil Engineer In This Field.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Codes And Standards: Civil Engineers Working In The Power Sector Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Codes And Standards Related To Power Systems, Such As The National Electrical Safety Code (Nesc) And Ieee Standards.

  • Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency In Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software, Project Management Software, And Other Technical Tools Is Necessary For A Civil Engineer To Effectively Design And Oversee Power Projects.
