  1. Monitor store operations and identify potential loss prevention issues.
  2. Utilize surveillance equipment and conduct routine inspections to ensure store security.
  3. Investigate and report any incidents of theft or fraud.
  4. Collaborate with team members to implement loss prevention strategies.
  5. Communicate with management and store associates regarding potential security risks.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to store security.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of loss prevention activities.
  8. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on loss prevention techniques.
  9. Assist in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees.
  10. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with loss prevention protocols.
  11. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  12. Stay updated on current retail trends and industry best practices related to loss prevention.
  13. Work closely with store management to identify and address any operational inefficiencies that may lead to loss.
  14. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with loss prevention policies.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve upon existing loss prevention measures.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Experience: A Successful Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Role That Involved Loss Prevention Or Inventory Management.

  • Detail-Oriented: Attention To Detail Is Crucial In The Role Of A Store Associate - Shortage Control. This Person Should Be Able To Spot Discrepancies And Discrepancies In Inventory And Transactions.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In A Retail Setting, Particularly In A Role That Involves Working With A Team To Prevent Theft And Minimize Loss. A Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally With Both Customers And Co-Workers.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: Experience With Loss Prevention Techniques Such As Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Auditing, And Merchandise Protection Is Highly Desirable For This Role.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours: Retail Schedules Can Vary, And A Store Associate - Shortage Control May Be Required To Work Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. Flexibility In Scheduling Is An Important Qualification For This Job.
