Job Description

We are currently seeking a part-time Store Associate for our Shortage Control team to join us in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety and security of our merchandise. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in preventing inventory loss and maintaining the overall integrity of our store. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and possess strong communication skills. If you are passionate about retail and have a knack for problem-solving, we would love to have you on board!

  1. Greet and welcome customers to the store in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs and inquiries.
  3. Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the store and its merchandise.
  4. Identify and report any suspicious or potentially problematic behavior from customers.
  5. Monitor and prevent inventory loss by conducting regular audits and implementing loss prevention strategies.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or concerns.
  7. Keep track of merchandise and ensure it is properly secured and accounted for.
  8. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  9. Stay current on company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  10. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and targets.
  11. Demonstrate a positive and helpful attitude towards customers and team members.
  12. Proactively identify and resolve any potential issues that may impact customer experience or store operations.
  13. Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and safety.
  14. Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  15. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Strategies: A Store Associate In Shortage Control Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Strategies In Order To Effectively Monitor And Prevent Theft Within The Store.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A Keen Eye For Detail To Identify Potential Theft Or Fraudulent Activity. A Store Associate Must Be Able To Quickly Spot Discrepancies In Inventory Or Suspicious Behavior From Customers.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Part Of The Loss Prevention Team, A Store Associate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Management, Fellow Associates, And Customers Regarding Any Potential Threats Or Incidents.

  • Physical Stamina: This Job Can Be Physically Demanding, As It May Require Standing, Walking, And Lifting For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Customer Service Experience: While The Primary Focus Of This Role Is On Loss Prevention, Store Associates Must Also Provide Excellent Customer Service To All Customers. Previous Experience In A Retail Or Customer Service Role Is Beneficial.
