As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers and merchandise. - Monitor and maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees.
- Be responsible for identifying and reporting any potential security or safety concerns within the store.
- Conduct regular inspections of store premises to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
- Collaborate with store management and team members to implement and maintain loss prevention strategies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of shortage control training programs for store employees.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and report findings to store management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or concerns related to safety and security.
- Actively participate in store meetings and training sessions to stay updated on safety and security policies and procedures.
- Work closely with law enforcement and security personnel to handle any security-related incidents.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Operate security equipment and systems, such as CCTV cameras, to monitor store activity.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in security technology to continuously improve store security measures.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by store management.
Prior Experience In Retail Or Loss Prevention: A Store Associate In Shortage Control Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Store Operations And Loss Prevention Procedures. Previous Experience In A Retail Setting Or Specifically In Loss Prevention Is Highly Preferred.
Excellent Communication Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Customers, Store Management, And Other Team Members. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate Any Shortage Control Issues.
Attention To Detail And Strong Observational Skills: A Store Associate In Shortage Control Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Suspicious Behavior Or Potential Theft. Strong Observational Skills Are Necessary To Successfully Prevent And Detect Loss In The Store.
Customer Service Orientation: While The Main Focus Of This Role Is On Shortage Control, A Store Associate Must Also Have A Customer Service Mindset. They Should Be Able To Assist Customers With Their Shopping Needs And Provide A Positive Shopping Experience.
Flexible Availability: As A Part-Time Position, Store Associates In Shortage Control May Be Required To Work A Variety Of Shifts, Including Nights And Weekends. Flexibility In Availability Is Necessary To Ensure Adequate Coverage During High-Risk Times For Theft.
