- Respond to and resolve any incidents of theft or dishonesty in a timely and professional manner.
- Train and educate store associates on loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies or irregularities in inventory.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all loss prevention activities.
- Communicate any potential security risks or issues to store management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with any inquiries or concerns.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed.

Prior Experience In Retail Or Loss Prevention: A Store Associate In Shortage Control Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment Or In A Role Related To Loss Prevention. This Will Ensure That They Are Familiar With Store Operations And Have Knowledge Of Security Measures.
Strong Attention To Detail: As A Part Of Their Role, Store Associates In Shortage Control Will Need To Monitor And Track Inventory, As Well As Identify And Report Any Potential Theft Or Loss. Therefore, Having A Keen Eye For Detail Is Essential To Be Successful In This Position.
Excellent Communication Skills: Store Associates In Shortage Control Will Need To Interact With Customers, Store Staff, And Management On A Daily Basis. Strong Communication Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Convey Information And To Handle Any Conflicts Or Issues That May Arise.
