Job Description

Burlington Stores is currently seeking a Store Associate for our Shortage Control team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our merchandise, while providing excellent customer service.   1. Monitor and maintain the safety and security of all merchandise within the store.
  2. Proactively identify and address any potential shortages or thefts.
  3. Provide excellent customer service to all customers while on the sales floor.
  4. Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed at all times.
  5. Conduct regular and thorough inspections of merchandise and store areas to identify any potential risks or issues.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to effectively address any security concerns or incidents.
  7. Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, team members, and management regarding any shortage control issues.
  8. Utilize surveillance systems and other security equipment to monitor and prevent thefts.
  9. Accurately document and report any incidents or suspicious behavior to management.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and security of merchandise.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  12. Continuously stay updated on current shortage control practices and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Demonstrate reliability and punctuality by consistently showing up for scheduled shifts.
  14. Take initiative and be proactive in identifying and addressing potential security risks.
  15. Display a strong attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Education Is Typically Required For This Position To Ensure Basic Math And Communication Skills.

  • Previous Retail Experience: Prior Experience In A Retail Setting, Especially In A Role Involving Inventory Control Or Loss Prevention, Is Preferred.

  • Strong Attention To Detail: As A Shortage Control Associate, You Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Addressing Potential Areas Of Loss, So Strong Attention To Detail Is Essential.

  • Ability To Work Independently: This Role Requires The Ability To Work Independently And Make Decisions Quickly, So Candidates Should Be Self-Motivated And Able To Work Without Constant Supervision.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: You Will Be Working Closely With Other Team Members And Communicating With Customers, So Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Necessary.
