Job Description

Burlington Stores is seeking a part-time Store Associate for our Shortage Control team to help us maintain a safe and secure shopping experience for our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and preventing loss through surveillance, inventory control, and customer service. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in protecting our merchandise and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our valued customers.   1. Monitor Surveillance: Regularly monitor store surveillance cameras to identify potential theft or suspicious activity.
  2. Maintain Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  3. Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful customer service to shoppers, assisting them with any questions or concerns they may have.
  4. Identify and Prevent Loss: Proactively identify and prevent loss by monitoring and addressing potential theft or fraudulent activities.
  5. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other members of the Shortage Control team, as well as store management, to effectively address and resolve any issues related to loss prevention.
  6. Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail in order to accurately identify potential theft or fraudulent activity.
  7. Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve any issues or challenges related to loss prevention.
  8. Maintain Safe Shopping Environment: Ensure the safety of customers and employees by adhering to store policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
  9. Integrity: Uphold a high level of integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  10. Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, fellow team members, and store management to address any concerns or issues related to loss prevention.
  11. Training: Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills related to loss prevention.
  12. Adherence to Company Standards: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and loss prevention, at all times.
