Prior Experience In Retail Or Loss Prevention: A Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment And/Or In A Loss Prevention Role. This Will Give Them A Strong Understanding Of Store Operations And Theft Prevention Techniques.
Knowledge Of Shrinkage And Theft Prevention Tactics: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Shrinkage And Theft Prevention Tactics, Including Knowledge Of Cctv Systems, Eas Tagging, And Inventory Management.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Store Associate - Shortage Control, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Colleagues, Management, And Customers Is Crucial. This Includes Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To De-Escalate Potentially Tense Situations.
Attention To Detail And Strong Observational Skills: In Order To Identify Potential Theft Or Inventory Discrepancies, A Store Associate - Shortage Control Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Strong Observational Skills. This Includes Being Able To Quickly Identify Suspicious Behavior Or Discrepancies In Inventory.
Physical Fitness And Ability To Stand For Long Periods Of Time: This Role May Require Prolonged Periods Of Standing And Walking Throughout The Store, As Well As The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Items. A Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
