  1. Monitor store inventory levels and identify potential areas of loss or shrinkage.
  2. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shortage control.
  3. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
  4. Utilize various surveillance and security measures to prevent theft and fraud.
  5. Collaborate with store management and other store associates to develop and implement strategies to reduce loss.
  6. Train and educate store associates on proper shortage control procedures.
  7. Handle and resolve any customer or associate concerns related to shortage control.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of any incidents or suspicious activities.
  9. Work closely with Loss Prevention team to investigate and resolve any cases of theft or fraud.
  10. Continuously monitor store operations for potential security risks and take necessary action to mitigate them.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for shortage control.
  12. Assist with other store tasks and responsibilities as needed.

  • Knowledge Of Shrinkage Prevention Techniques: A Qualified Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Techniques And Strategies To Prevent Shrinkage And Reduce Loss For The Store.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Identify Potential Loss Or Theft Situations. A Store Associate - Shortage Control Must Be Able To Effectively Monitor And Detect Suspicious Behavior Or Discrepancies In Inventory.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As A Store Associate - Shortage Control Will Need To Work Closely With Store Management, Security Personnel, And Other Team Members To Address And Resolve Any Shortage Issues.

  • Ability To Work Under Pressure: This Position May Involve Dealing With High-Stress Situations, Such As Suspected Theft Or Inventory Discrepancies. A Qualified Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Be Able To Remain Calm And Focused While Working Under Pressure To Mitigate Potential Losses.

  • Understanding Of Store Policies And Procedures: As A Member Of The Store's Shortage Control Team, A Store Associate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Store's Policies And Procedures, As Well As Any Applicable Laws And Regulations Related To Theft And Loss Prevention.
