- Monitor and maintain the security of the store at all times.
- Conduct thorough and accurate inventory counts to identify any discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shortage control.
- Collaborate with store management to develop strategies for preventing and reducing loss.
- Train and educate store team members on loss prevention best practices.
- Detect and investigate any suspicious activity or behaviors.
- Utilize surveillance systems and other tools to identify potential theft or fraud.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to address any security concerns.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to shortage control.
- Respond promptly to any security alarms or incidents.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the security office and surveillance room.
- Continuously assess and improve shortage control processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Assist with the apprehension and processing of suspected shoplifters.
- Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to shortage control protocols.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in loss prevention techniques.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures to protect customers, team members, and company assets.
- Collaborate with law enforcement as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
