  1. Monitor and maintain the integrity of merchandise in the store to prevent theft and loss.
  2. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
  3. Conduct regular audits and inspections of merchandise and store areas to identify potential risks and address any issues.
  4. Utilize surveillance equipment and conduct surveillance activities to monitor for suspicious behavior and prevent theft.
  5. Collaborate with team members and management to develop and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve loss prevention efforts.
  6. Communicate effectively with customers and employees to promote a safe and secure shopping experience.
  7. Train and educate store associates on loss prevention practices and procedures.
  8. Investigate and report any incidents of theft or other suspicious activity to management and law enforcement as needed.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records related to loss prevention efforts.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention.
  11. Adhere to all safety and security protocols and procedures.
  12. Assist with other store duties as needed.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Procedures: A Store Associate - Shortage Control Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Methods, Such As Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Audits, And Theft Prevention Strategies.

  • Attention To Detail: A Successful Store Associate - Shortage Control Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Discrepancies Or Inconsistencies In Inventory Or Cash Handling.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Store Associate - Shortage Control, As They Will Need To Work Closely With Store Management, Security Personnel, And Other Team Members To Identify And Resolve Potential Theft Or Loss Issues.

  • Ability To Maintain Confidentiality: A Store Associate - Shortage Control Will Have Access To Sensitive Information, Such As Inventory Counts And Security Footage, And Must Be Able To Maintain Confidentiality At All Times.

  • Physical Stamina: This Role May Require Standing For Long Periods Of Time And The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, Such As Boxes Of Merchandise. Therefore, Physical Stamina And Strength Are Important Qualifications For A Store Associate - Shortage Control.
