Store Associate - Shortage Control

1. Monitor and identify potential theft and fraud activities within the store.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Utilize surveillance equipment and observations to detect suspicious behavior and report any findings to management.
4. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement strategies to prevent loss and minimize shrinkage.
5. Train and educate other store associates on theft prevention techniques and procedures.
6. Review and investigate incidents of theft or fraud, gather evidence, and report to appropriate authorities as needed.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all incidents and investigations.
8. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management regarding potential theft and fraud concerns.
9. Work closely with other departments, such as loss prevention and inventory control, to ensure a coordinated effort in preventing and detecting loss.
10. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in shortage control and make recommendations for improvement.
11. Display a positive and professional attitude towards customers and team members at all times.
12. Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
13. Participate in store meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
