  1. Develop and implement shortage control strategies and procedures to minimize loss and maintain inventory accuracy.
  2. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify potential areas of theft or loss.
  3. Train and supervise a team of shortage control associates to ensure they are following proper procedures and protocols.
  4. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and patterns related to shortage control.
  5. Collaborate with store management to develop action plans for addressing identified issues.
  6. Communicate shortage control goals and expectations to store associates and hold them accountable for compliance.
  7. Conduct thorough investigations of any suspected incidents of theft or loss.
  8. Ensure all shortage control policies and procedures are up to date and in compliance with company standards.
  9. Work closely with other departments, such as human resources and legal, to handle any legal or personnel issues related to shortage control.
  10. Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in shortage control and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Prepare and present reports on shortage control measures and results to upper management.
  12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the shortage control team and across all store departments.
  14. Represent the company in a professional manner and act as a role model for other team members.
  15. Continuously strive to improve shortage control processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: As A Shortage Control Lead, The Individual Must Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Effectively Manage And Distribute Tasks To The Team. This Includes Creating Schedules, Delegating Responsibilities, And Tracking Progress.

  • Knowledge Of Security Procedures: The Individual Must Have A Good Understanding Of Security Procedures And Protocols To Help Prevent Theft And Minimize Losses. This Includes Knowledge Of Cctv Systems, Alarm Systems, And Store Security Policies.

  • Leadership Experience: As A Lead Position, Previous Experience In A Leadership Role Is Essential. The Individual Must Be Able To Motivate And Guide A Team To Achieve Set Goals, As Well As Handle Any Conflicts Or Issues That May Arise.

  • Analytical Skills: The Shortage Control Lead Must Be Able To Analyze Data And Identify Trends To Help Identify Areas Of Improvement And Develop Strategies To Reduce Loss. This Requires Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities.

  • Attention To Detail: The Individual Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Spot Any Potential Security Risks Or Issues. This Includes Being Able To Recognize Suspicious Behavior, Check Inventory Accuracy, And Identify Any Discrepancies In Store Processes.
