  1. Develop and implement shortage control strategies to protect company assets and minimize loss.
  2. Train and supervise a team of shortage control associates to ensure proper execution of company policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and analyze store data to identify trends and potential areas of risk.
  4. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify and resolve any potential security or safety issues.
  5. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement action plans to address shortage control concerns.
  6. Communicate shortage control best practices and updates to store teams to promote awareness and compliance.
  7. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with law enforcement and external partners to facilitate efficient response to any incidents.
  8. Ensure compliance with all company and legal policies and procedures related to shortage control.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all shortage control activities.
  10. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance shortage control efforts.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to shortage control.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and support to store teams and customers in addressing any shortage control concerns.
  13. Conduct regular training sessions for store associates on shortage control procedures and best practices.
  14. Stay updated on company policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to by all store associates.
  15. Lead by example and promote a positive and safe work environment for all team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Proven Leadership Skills: The Shortage Control Lead Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Loss Prevention Associates.

  • Experience In Loss Prevention: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques, Investigations, And Shrinkage Control.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Shortage Control Lead Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Store Leadership, Associates, And External Partners Regarding Shortage Control And Loss Prevention Initiatives. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are A Must.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: This Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Data And Identify Trends In Order To Develop Effective Shortage Control Strategies. The Shortage Control Lead Must Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Issues As They Arise.

  • Attention To Detail: The Shortage Control Lead Must Be Detail-Oriented And Have A Keen Eye For Detecting Suspicious Behavior Or Potential Theft. This Includes Being Able To Accurately Document Incidents And Maintain Organized Records.
