
Shortage Control Lead

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the shortage control department.
- Develop and implement effective strategies and procedures to prevent and detect retail theft and fraud.
- Train and supervise a team of shortage control associates to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and audits to identify and resolve potential security risks and issues.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement shrink reduction plans.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention to continuously improve the effectiveness of the shortage control program.
- Monitor and analyze shrinkage data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of all shortage control activities and provide regular reports to upper management.
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs for store associates to educate them on loss prevention techniques.
- Work closely with law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute cases of theft and fraud.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to loss prevention and security.
- Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and promote a positive and safe work environment for all employees.
- Handle any escalated shortage control issues or incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety and security protocols for the store.
- Contribute to the overall success of the store by achieving shortage control and shrinkage goals.
Strong Communication Skills: The Shortage Control Lead Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Store Associates, Management, And External Partners Regarding Shortage Control Strategies And Initiatives.
Experience In Retail Loss Prevention: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Retail Loss Prevention, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Shortage Control Programs.
Analytical Skills: The Shortage Control Lead Must Have Strong Analytical Skills To Identify Trends, Analyze Data, And Develop Action Plans To Address Shortage Issues. Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools Is Preferred.
Team Management Experience: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Shortage Control Associates, Including Hiring, Training, And Scheduling. Previous Experience In Team Management Is A Must.
Knowledge Of Retail Operations: In Addition To Loss Prevention Knowledge, Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Retail Operations, Including Inventory Management, Store Processes, And Customer Service. This Will Help In Developing Effective Shortage Control Strategies That Align With The Overall Goals Of The Company.
