- Manage and lead the shortage control team, ensuring all team members are trained and performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement shortage control strategies and procedures to minimize loss and maintain the integrity of merchandise.
- Monitor and analyze shortage data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and take appropriate action to address any issues.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of merchandise to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with store management and other team members to address and resolve any shortage-related issues.
- Train and educate store associates on proper shortage control procedures and best practices.
- Work closely with the store leadership team to develop and implement action plans to improve shortage results.
- Utilize surveillance equipment and other tools to identify and prevent theft and fraud.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment for all team members and customers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in loss prevention techniques to continuously improve shortage control strategies.
- Act as a role model for the team by demonstrating excellent customer service and professionalism at all times.
- Handle and resolve customer and employee inquiries or complaints related to shortage control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement company-wide shortage control initiatives.
- Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of shortage control processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Retail Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Shortage Control Strategies.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Coach Team Members.
Proficiency In Data Analysis And Reporting, With The Ability To Identify Trends And Make Strategic Recommendations.
Ability To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Nights And Weekends, To Oversee Shortage Control Operations During Peak Business Hours.
