Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Stocking Team Lead to join our team. As the leader of our stocking team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is always well-stocked and organized for our customers.   1. Oversee the stocking team and ensure they are following company policies and procedures.
  2. Create and implement efficient stocking strategies to maintain a well-stocked and organized store.
  3. Train and develop team members on proper stocking techniques and product knowledge.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is on hand at all times.
  5. Conduct regular inventory counts and communicate any discrepancies to management.
  6. Collaborate with other team leads and management to coordinate stock transfers and restocking of merchandise.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and backroom area.
  8. Lead by example and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills to team members.
  9. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of stock duties.
  10. Address any performance or behavior issues within the team and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  11. Stay updated on current and upcoming product trends and ensure the proper placement and presentation of merchandise on the sales floor.
  12. Assist with receiving and processing shipments, and accurately record and report any damages or discrepancies.
  13. Uphold safety standards and ensure all team members are following proper safety protocols.
  14. Communicate any store maintenance or repair needs to management.
  15. Collaborate with management to create and maintain an organized and efficient work schedule for the stocking team.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In A Retail Environment - A Retail Stocking Team Lead Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Store, Preferably In A Similar Role Such As Stock Associate Or Team Lead. This Ensures They Have A Good Understanding Of The Retail Industry And Are Familiar With Store Operations And Procedures.

  • Strong Leadership Skills - As A Team Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing And Delegating Tasks To A Team Of Stock Associates. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members, Resolve Conflicts, And Make Effective Decisions.

  • Organizational And Time-Management Abilities - A Retail Stocking Team Lead Must Be Highly Organized And Efficient In Managing Their Time. They Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Stocking Of Merchandise, Maintaining Inventory Levels, And Ensuring Products Are Displayed In An Organized And Visually Appealing Manner.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems - Burlington Stores May Use Inventory Management Systems To Track Stock Levels And Receive And Process Orders. A Qualified Candidate Should Be Familiar With These Systems And Have Experience Using Them To Effectively Manage Inventory And Fulfill Orders.

  • Physical Stamina And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment - Stocking Merchandise Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Individuals To Stand, Lift, And Move Heavy Items For Extended Periods. A Retail Stocking Team Lead Should Be Able To Handle This Physically Demanding Work And Thrive In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment.
