Job Description

As a Retail Stocking Team Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring our stores are fully stocked and ready to provide our customers with an exceptional shopping experience. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our team of stock associates and maintain the flow of merchandise in our store.   1. Oversee and manage the stocking team to ensure timely and accurate restocking of merchandise throughout the store.
  2. Train and coach stock associates on proper stocking procedures and safety protocols.
  3. Create and maintain efficient stocking schedules to ensure merchandise is restocked in a timely manner.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and work with management to order needed merchandise.
  5. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify any discrepancies and take corrective action.
  6. Communicate with management and other team leads to ensure a smooth flow of merchandise and address any stock-related issues.
  7. Ensure that all merchandise is properly labeled and tagged according to company standards.
  8. Ensure that all merchandise is organized and displayed in an appealing and customer-friendly manner.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and backroom area.
  10. Assist in the receiving and processing of new merchandise shipments.
  11. Address any customer inquiries or concerns regarding merchandise availability.
  12. Monitor and adhere to loss prevention policies and procedures to reduce shrinkage.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient store operations.
  14. Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and product knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
  15. Lead by example and foster a positive and productive work environment for the stocking team.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Experience: A Successful Retail Stocking Team Lead Should Have Previous Experience In The Retail Industry, Preferably In A Stocking Or Inventory Management Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Store Operations And Can Effectively Lead A Team In This Environment.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Team Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Stockers And Ensuring They Are Meeting Productivity Goals And Completing Tasks Accurately. They Should Have Strong Leadership Qualities, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Clear Instructions, And Motivate Team Members.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills: A Retail Stocking Team Lead Must Be Highly Organized In Order To Keep Track Of Inventory Levels, Schedule Stockers, And Monitor Stock Levels. They Should Also Be Able To Create And Maintain Efficient Stocking Processes To Ensure The Store Is Always Well-Stocked And Presentable.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Burlington Stores Likely Uses An Inventory Management System To Track Stock Levels And Replenish Items. A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Have Experience Working With These Systems And Be Able To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Systems.

  • Physical Stamina: This Role Can Be Physically Demanding, As It Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Items And Standing For Long Periods Of Time. The Ideal Candidate Should Have The Physical Stamina To Handle These Tasks And Be Able To Work Efficiently And Safely In A Fast-Paced Environment.
