- Manage and lead a team of stockers to ensure timely and efficient restocking of shelves and organization of the store.
- Train new team members on stocking procedures, product knowledge, and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overages to management.
- Create and implement a schedule for stockers to ensure proper coverage during peak shopping hours.
- Collaborate with other store departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of stocking efforts.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all merchandise is placed accurately and neatly on shelves.
- Assist in receiving and processing new inventory, including tagging, labeling, and placing products on the sales floor.
- Monitor and meet productivity and performance goals for the stocking team.
- Resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to stocking or product availability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve stocking processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling merchandise and operating equipment.
- Communicate any maintenance or repair needs for shelving units, equipment, or other store fixtures.
Previous Retail Experience: A Successful Retail Stocking Team Lead Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Stocking Or Inventory Management Role. This Experience Will Provide A Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills Needed To Effectively Lead A Team Of Stockers.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Team Lead, Effective Communication Is Crucial In Delegating Tasks, Providing Feedback, And Coordinating With Other Store Departments. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Leadership Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In A Leadership Role, Whether It Be In A Retail Setting Or Another Industry. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team, As Well As Make Decisions And Solve Problems.
Organizational Skills: A Retail Stocking Team Lead Is Responsible For Overseeing The Organization And Maintenance Of The Store's Inventory. The Ability To Effectively Plan, Prioritize, And Delegate Tasks Is Essential To Ensuring The Store Is Properly Stocked And Merchandise Is Readily Available For Customers.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Burlington Stores May Use Various Inventory Management Systems To Track And Maintain Their Stock.
