Job Description

Welcome to Burlington Stores, where we believe in providing our customers with a great shopping experience every time they step into our store. As a Retail Stocking Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our shelves are fully stocked with merchandise and our customers have access to the products they need. We are currently seeking a part-time Stocking Associate who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a passion for providing excellent customer service.   1. Stock and organize merchandise on shelves and displays according to company standards and procedures.
  2. Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
  3. Ensure shelves are always fully stocked and visually appealing to customers.
  4. Assist in receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments, checking for accuracy and quality.
  5. Label and price merchandise accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Help maintain a clean and organized backroom area and work with the team to keep the store clean and presentable.
  7. Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with any inquiries or needs.
  8. Stay informed on current promotions, sales, and company policies to effectively assist customers.
  9. Communicate any stock or inventory issues to management in a timely manner.
  10. Adhere to safety and security procedures to protect company assets and prevent loss.
  11. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
  12. Attend and actively participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
  13. Flexibly work in other areas of the store as needed, such as the sales floor or cashiering.
  14. Follow company policies and procedures at all times, including dress code and punctuality.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers, coworkers, and management.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Experience: A Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In A Retail Setting, Preferably In A Stocking Or Inventory Management Role. This Will Demonstrate Their Understanding Of The Retail Environment And Their Ability To Handle Inventory Efficiently.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: As A Retail Stocking Associate, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing And Organizing The Store's Inventory. They Should Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Ensure That Products Are Stored And Displayed Correctly, Making It Easier For Customers To Find What They're Looking For.

  • Physical Stamina: This Role Requires Frequent Lifting, Bending, And Standing For Long Periods. A Candidate Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job, Including Lifting And Carrying Heavy Items.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Products Are Stocked And Displayed Accurately. This Includes Checking For Damaged Or Expired Items And Making Necessary Adjustments To Maintain The Store's Appearance.

  • Availability For Flexible Schedules: Retail Stores Often Have Varying Hours, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays. A Candidate Should Be Willing And Able To Work A Flexible Schedule To Meet The Store's Needs And Handle Any Unexpected Changes.
