Job Description

Welcome to Burlington Stores, where we pride ourselves on offering high-quality, affordable fashion to our customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Retail Stocking Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our store is always fully stocked and organized, creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.   1. Stocking and Organizing: Responsible for receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise on the sales floor and in the backroom. Ensuring all products are accurately labeled and placed in their designated locations.
  2. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels to meet customer demand. Communicate any inventory discrepancies to management and assist in resolving any issues.
  3. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering any questions they may have and directing them to specific products or departments as needed.
  4. Maintain Store Appearance: Continuously ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing for customers. This includes restocking merchandise, folding and arranging clothing, and keeping the sales floor tidy.
  5. Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure the store is properly stocked and organized. Communicate effectively with management and other associates to achieve daily goals and tasks.
  6. Follow Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols. Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
  7. Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on current and upcoming products, sales, and promotions. Be able to effectively communicate this information to customers.
  8. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner, while assisting customers and maintaining store appearance.
  9. Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  10. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shift.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Experience: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Stocking Or Inventory Management Role. This Will Demonstrate Their Understanding Of The Retail Industry And Their Ability To Handle Tasks Such As Restocking Shelves And Managing Inventory.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Stocking Associates Are Responsible For Maintaining The Organization And Presentation Of Merchandise On The Sales Floor. This Requires Excellent Organizational Skills To Ensure That Products Are Properly Sorted, Labeled, And Displayed In The Correct Locations.

  • Physical Stamina: This Job Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes, Standing For Long Periods Of Time, And Bending And Reaching To Stock Shelves. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Stocking Associate Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. This Includes Ensuring That Products Are Stocked In The Correct Locations, Prices And Labels Are Accurate, And Shelves Are Neatly Arranged. A Candidate With Strong Attention To Detail Will Be Able To Perform These Tasks Effectively.

  • Team Player: Working As A Part Of A Team Is Essential In A Retail Environment. A Successful Stocking Associate Should Be Able To Work Well With Others, Communicate Effectively, And Be Willing To Assist Colleagues As Needed. This Will Ensure A Smooth And Efficient Operation Of The Store.
