- Stock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor according to company standards and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating with management when additional stock is needed.
- Conduct regular quality checks on merchandise to ensure it meets company standards and report any discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and sales floor to maximize customer shopping experience.
- Assist in the receiving and processing of new merchandise, including unpacking, tagging, and placing items on the sales floor.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating merchandise and answering any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete tasks and meet daily stocking goals.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and customers.
- Continuously develop product knowledge and stay updated on new merchandise to effectively assist customers and make recommendations.
- Participate in store events and promotions to promote product sales and engage with customers.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company and its values.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and dress code.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any stock issues or customer concerns.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Items: Retail Stocking Associates Are Responsible For Restocking Shelves And Moving Inventory Throughout The Store. Therefore, Candidates Must Be Physically Capable Of Lifting And Moving Heavy Items, Typically Up To 50 Pounds.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In Retail Stocking, As Associates Must Ensure That Items Are Placed In The Correct Location And That Inventory Levels Are Accurately Updated. Candidates Should Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Prevent Errors.
Organizational Skills: A Retail Stocking Associate Must Be Able To Efficiently Organize And Arrange Inventory On Shelves And Displays. The Ability To Keep Track Of Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Accordingly Is Essential For This Role.
Customer Service Skills: Although Not The Main Responsibility, Retail Stocking Associates May Be Required To Assist Customers With Finding Items Or Answering Questions. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills Are Beneficial For This Position.
