- Stock shelves and merchandise in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the store is always well-stocked and organized for customers.
- Receive and process new merchandise shipments, including unpacking, labeling, and pricing items according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and sales floor to ensure a safe and inviting shopping environment for customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any low stock or out-of-stock items to management.
- Assist customers with locating merchandise and providing friendly and helpful customer service.
- Follow company procedures for handling damaged or defective merchandise and properly disposing of it.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to protect company assets and reduce loss.
- Keep up-to-date with current promotions, policies, and procedures to accurately assist customers and maintain store standards.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency while working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed on company updates and improve job performance.
- Operate equipment and tools, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Communicate any potential safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
- Uphold the company's mission, values, and customer service standards at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Previous Retail Experience: A Qualified Retail Stocking Associate Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Stocking Or Inventory Management Role. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Fast-Paced Nature Of The Job And Has The Necessary Skills To Handle Inventory Efficiently.
Physical Stamina: Stocking Shelves And Moving Heavy Boxes Of Merchandise Can Be Physically Demanding, So A Retail Stocking Associate Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Lift And Carry Heavy Items As Needed.
Attention To Detail: A Retail Stocking Associate Is Responsible For Ensuring That Merchandise Is Accurately Stocked And Displayed According To Company Standards. This Requires Paying Close Attention To Detail And Having A Keen Eye For Organization And Product Placement.
Time Management Skills: Retail Stores Often Have Tight Deadlines For Restocking Merchandise, Especially During Busy Seasons. A Qualified Retail Stocking Associate Should Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks To Meet These Deadlines.
