  1. Monitor store activities to identify and prevent potential merchandise shortages.
  2. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
  3. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to merchandise control.
  4. Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement strategies to minimize merchandise loss.
  5. Conduct thorough investigations and document any instances of theft or loss.
  6. Utilize surveillance technology and other resources to identify and apprehend shoplifters.
  7. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to store security.
  8. Train and educate store associates on proper merchandise handling and security measures.
  9. Maintain a safe and secure work environment for both customers and employees.
  10. Communicate with vendors and external agencies as needed for merchandise control purposes.
  11. Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and developments related to merchandise control.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards.
  14. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed and prepared.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures related to merchandise control.
