  1. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify potential discrepancies and report findings to management.
  2. Monitor and review surveillance footage to identify potential theft or fraudulent activities.
  3. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement strategies to minimize loss and improve inventory accuracy.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or issues related to shortage control.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all shortage control activities, including incidents and resolutions.
  6. Stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures related to shortage control.
  7. Train and educate store associates on loss prevention techniques and procedures.
  8. Conduct store-wide awareness campaigns to promote shortage control and loss prevention.
  9. Work with external partners, such as security and law enforcement, to investigate and resolve any cases of theft or fraud.
  10. Conduct interviews and investigations with employees suspected of involvement in theft or fraud.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in retail shortage control.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information related to shortage control.
  13. Proactively identify potential areas of improvement in the store's shortage control processes and procedures.
  14. Collaborate with other store departments, such as sales and operations, to ensure smooth and efficient processes related to inventory management and shortage control.
  15. Represent the company's values and standards of excellence in all interactions with customers, associates, and external partners.
