  1. Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the store premises at all times.
  2. Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure merchandise is properly accounted for and protected from theft or damage.
  3. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
  4. Identify and investigate any potential security threats or suspicious activities.
  5. Utilize surveillance equipment and software to monitor store activity and identify any potential issues.
  6. Train store associates on proper loss prevention procedures and policies.
  7. Communicate with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to develop and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  9. Conduct internal investigations in cases of suspected theft or fraud.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all incidents and investigations.
  11. Stay updated on current industry trends and technologies related to loss prevention.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  13. Act as a positive role model for other team members and promote a culture of integrity and responsibility.
  14. Communicate effectively with customers and address any concerns or issues related to store security.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate loss prevention processes and procedures for effectiveness and recommend improvements as needed.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Member Of The Loss Prevention Team, A Retail Shortage Control Employee Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Both Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Store Management, Law Enforcement, And Customers.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Retail Environments Can Be Fast-Paced And Hectic, Especially During Peak Shopping Seasons. A Qualified Candidate For A Retail Shortage Control Job Must Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Environment And Make Quick Decisions When Necessary.
