  1. Monitor and identify potential risks and instances of theft or loss within the store premises.
  2. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shortage control and theft prevention.
  3. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify and address any discrepancies in inventory.
  4. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement strategies for minimizing loss and increasing profitability.
  5. Utilize surveillance systems, security equipment, and other resources to monitor and prevent theft and loss.
  6. Train and educate store associates on proper shortage control procedures and techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate records of all shortage control activities and report any issues or concerns to management.
  8. Work closely with law enforcement and external partners to address any cases of theft or fraud.
  9. Participate in store meetings and provide updates on shortage control efforts.
  10. Continuously stay updated on industry trends and advancements in shortage control techniques to improve current processes.
  11. Respond to and resolve any customer or employee concerns related to shortage control.
  12. Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment to ensure accurate and efficient merchandise tracking.
  13. Adhere to all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.
  14. Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Qualified Candidate For A Retail Shortage Control Job At Burlington Stores Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques Such As Cctv Monitoring, Merchandise Tagging, And Inventory Management.

  • Experience In Retail Security: Previous Experience In Retail Security, Either In A Loss Prevention Role Or As A Security Guard, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Experience Shows An Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Risks Associated With Working In A Retail Environment.

  • Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial In A Retail Shortage Control Job At Burlington Stores. This Includes Being Able To Spot Discrepancies In Inventory, Identify Potential Theft, And Accurately Document Incidents.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role As It Involves Working Closely With Store Management, Law Enforcement, And Other Team Members. A Qualified Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively, Both Verbally And In Writing.
