- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shortage control and theft prevention.
- Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify and address any discrepancies in inventory.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement strategies for minimizing loss and increasing profitability.
- Utilize surveillance systems, security equipment, and other resources to monitor and prevent theft and loss.
- Train and educate store associates on proper shortage control procedures and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of all shortage control activities and report any issues or concerns to management.
- Work closely with law enforcement and external partners to address any cases of theft or fraud.
- Participate in store meetings and provide updates on shortage control efforts.
- Continuously stay updated on industry trends and advancements in shortage control techniques to improve current processes.
- Respond to and resolve any customer or employee concerns related to shortage control.
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment to ensure accurate and efficient merchandise tracking.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude at all times.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Qualified Candidate For A Retail Shortage Control Job At Burlington Stores Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques Such As Cctv Monitoring, Merchandise Tagging, And Inventory Management.
Experience In Retail Security: Previous Experience In Retail Security, Either In A Loss Prevention Role Or As A Security Guard, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Experience Shows An Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Risks Associated With Working In A Retail Environment.
