In this role, you will play a crucial role in minimizing losses and maintaining the overall integrity of our store.   1. Conduct regular store audits to identify potential security vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  2. Monitor surveillance footage and identify suspicious activity or behavior.
  3. Coordinate with store management and loss prevention team to address any security concerns or incidents.
  4. Implement and enforce store policies and procedures related to loss prevention and security.
  5. Train and educate store associates on loss prevention best practices and techniques.
  6. Conduct investigations into any suspected cases of theft or fraud.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of security incidents and investigations.
  8. Collaborate with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed.
  9. Conduct regular inventory checks to identify discrepancies and potential inventory shrinkage.
  10. Utilize data and analytics to identify patterns and trends in loss prevention and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in loss prevention technology.
  12. Communicate regularly with store management to provide updates on loss prevention efforts and progress.
  13. Act as a role model for ethical and responsible behavior among store associates.
  14. Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  15. Continuously assess and improve loss prevention strategies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the store.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Successful Candidate For A Retail Shortage Control Job At Burlington Stores Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Proven Loss Prevention Techniques Such As Cctv Surveillance, Inventory Control, And Employee Training.

  • Physical Fitness: Working In Shortage Control Often Requires Hours Of Standing, Walking, And Monitoring Surveillance Footage. Candidates For This Job Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Role.

  • Ability To Remain Calm Under Pressure: Retail Shortage Control Can Be A High-Stress And Fast-Paced Environment. A Successful Candidate Should Be Able To Remain Calm And Focused In High-Pressure Situations, Such As Dealing With Potentially Confrontational Individuals Or Responding To Emergency Situations.
