  1. Monitor and maintain store security measures to prevent merchandise theft and shrinkage.
  2. Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure merchandise is properly tagged and secured.
  3. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective shortage control strategies.
  4. Train and educate store associates on theft prevention techniques and company policies.
  5. Identify and investigate any suspicious or fraudulent activities within the store.
  6. Communicate with law enforcement and cooperate with any investigations as needed.
  7. Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
  8. Conduct employee bag checks and monitor exit points to prevent merchandise from leaving the store without proper authorization.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shortage control activities.
  10. Collaborate with other store teams to ensure efficient and effective merchandise flow and inventory management.
  11. Assist with customer service and sales floor duties as needed.
  12. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with customers and colleagues.
  13. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in shortage control and implement new strategies as needed.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  15. Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving store processes and procedures.
