Director of Sustainability

Burlington Stores is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative Director of Sustainability to join our team. This role is a key member of the corporate responsibility team and will be responsible for leading our sustainability vision and strategy. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to advance our sustainability agenda, with a focus on the environment, product and packaging, social responsibility, and operations.The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or a related field. They must also possess strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to think strategically and tactically to address complex challenges, and a passion for advancing sustainability. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and lead sustainability strategies to reduce environmental impact, promote social responsibility, and drive operational efficiencies.
2. Create initiatives to reduce company carbon footprint and increase resource efficiency.
3. Monitor and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for Burlington Stores to take advantage of in the sustainability space.
4. Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including NGOs, businesses, and other organizations.
5. Develop and deliver sustainability reports and presentations to key stakeholders.
6. Manage the development and implementation of sustainability projects and initiatives.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful integration of sustainability initiatives into business operations.
8. Develop and refine sustainability policies, procedures, and metrics.
9. Lead sustainability-related training and educational programs for internal and external stakeholders.
10. Track and report on performance metrics related to sustainability initiatives.
