  1. Efficiently and accurately process customer transactions at the cash register in a timely manner.
  2. Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  5. Assist customers with locating merchandise and making recommendations based on their needs.
  6. Process returns and exchanges according to company policies.
  7. Adhere to all cash handling and credit card processing procedures.
  8. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding customer service, security, and safety.
  9. Keep up-to-date on current sales, promotions, and policies to effectively communicate with customers.
  10. Collaborate with team members to ensure the store is running smoothly and efficiently.
  11. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and customer service expectations.
  12. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliability by being punctual and dependable for scheduled shifts.
  13. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  14. Handle customer complaints and escalate to management when necessary.
  15. Attend and actively participate in trainings and meetings as required.
  16. Maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive work environment for both customers and team members.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Previous Retail Or Customer Service Experience: A Cashier Associate Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Or Customer Service Environment, Specifically In A Cashier Role. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Cash Transactions, Interact With Customers, And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Cashier Associate Must Have Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Interact With Customers And Coworkers Effectively. This Includes Being Able To Listen To And Understand Customer Needs, As Well As Communicate Clearly And Professionally.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Cashier, Accuracy Is Crucial When Handling Cash Transactions. A Cashier Associate Must Have A Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Transactions Are Processed Correctly And That The Correct Change Is Given To Customers.

  • Availability For Flexible Scheduling: Most Part-Time Cashier Positions At Burlington Stores Require Evening, Weekend, And Holiday Availability. Candidates Should Be Able To Work A Variety Of Shifts And Have A Flexible Schedule In Order To Meet The Needs Of The Store.

  • Basic Math Skills: Cashier Associates Should Have Basic Math Skills In Order To Accurately Handle Cash Transactions, Calculate Discounts, And Process Returns. This Includes Being Able To Count And Handle Money Quickly And Accurately.
