
Assistant Buyer

- Assist the Buyer in identifying and selecting merchandise that aligns with the company's brand and meets the needs of the customers.
- Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and industry developments to contribute to the buying decisions.
- Conduct market research to identify new and emerging trends, as well as potential opportunities and risks.
- Coordinate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery of merchandise.
- Collaborate with the planning and allocation team to ensure proper inventory levels and timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to make recommendations for future buying decisions.
- Assist in the creation of buying plans and budgets.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams, including visual merchandising, marketing, and store operations, to ensure a cohesive buying strategy.
- Travel to attend trade shows, vendor meetings, and store visits as needed.
- Support the Buyer in the preparation of presentations and meetings with senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
- Provide administrative support to the Buyer, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing paperwork.
- Keep track of industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members as needed.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Fashion Merchandising, Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience In Retail Buying Or Merchandising.
Knowledge Of Current Fashion Trends And Market Demand.
