Job Description

At Burlington Stores, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team. This position provides an opportunity to use your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to support the buying team and ensure the success of the business. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about fashion and has a keen eye for trends.The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or a related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience in buying or merchandising. Additionally, the successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Creativity and a passion for fashion are essential qualities for this role.If you are a motivated and organized individual with a keen eye for fashion, then this position is for you!

Responsibilities: • Support the buying team to ensure the success of the business • Utilize exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Analyze data and trends to identify new opportunities for product growth • Develop and execute buying strategies to maximize profit and market share • Collaborate with other departments to ensure product availability, pricing, and profitability • Create and manage budgets for product lines • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory • Evaluate and select vendors to ensure quality products • Provide accurate and timely reports to the buying team • Keep up to date with fashion trends • Create and manage promotional campaigns for product lines • Foster relationships with vendors and other industry contacts • Participate in store visits to evaluate product performance • Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitive pricing • Provide ongoing support to the buying team for any additional tasks and projects
