Asset Protection Supervisor
Burlington Stores is looking for a talented and experienced Asset Protection Supervisor to join our team. As an integral member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our customers, associates, and merchandise. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in asset protection and loss prevention. - Develop and implement asset protection strategies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of customers, associates, and merchandise.
- Train and supervise a team of asset protection associates, providing guidance and support to ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential security risks and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with store management to effectively communicate and enforce asset protection policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve any security incidents or thefts, including reviewing surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses, and coordinating with law enforcement when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to asset protection, including incident reports and security logs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and loss prevention to continuously improve and enhance the program.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and human resources, to identify and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve overall store profitability.
- Conduct training and development sessions for store associates on topics such as theft prevention, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws related to asset protection and safety.
- Serve as a role model for the team, promoting a positive and professional work environment and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of asset protection measures and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Act as a liaison between the store and external partners, such as law enforcement, security companies, and loss prevention agencies.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by store management or corporate leadership.
Strong Understanding Of Security Protocols And Procedures: A Successful Asset Protection Supervisor At Burlington Stores Should Have A Comprehensive Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures To Effectively Monitor And Protect Company Assets. This Includes Experience With Surveillance Systems, Alarm Systems, And Inventory Control Procedures.
Leadership And Management Experience: As A Supervisor, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role, Demonstrating The Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team To Achieve Objectives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Asset Protection Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Teams And Individuals Within The Company, As Well As External Parties Such As Law Enforcement And Security Personnel. Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Relationships Are Crucial For This Role.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention And Risk Management: The Primary Responsibility Of An Asset Protection Supervisor Is To Prevent And Mitigate Losses For The Company. Therefore, A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Risk Management Strategies Is Essential. Previous Experience In A Similar Role Or Relevant Certifications In Loss Prevention And Risk Management Would Be Advantageous.
