- Develop and implement asset protection strategies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the store, its employees, and customers.
- Supervise and lead a team of asset protection professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze store metrics, such as shrinkage and theft trends, to identify areas of concern and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with store management and other departments to implement and maintain company-wide asset protection policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve internal and external theft incidents, including conducting interviews and working with law enforcement if necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all asset protection incidents and activities, including preparing reports and presentations for upper management.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continually improve the company's security measures.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local law enforcement and other external partners to enhance overall store security.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service by addressing and resolving customer concerns related to asset protection issues.
Strong Leadership Skills: As An Asset Protection Supervisor, The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Asset Protection Associates. This Requires Strong Leadership Skills, Such As The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Motivation, And Make Decisions Under Pressure.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Successful Asset Protection Supervisor Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Monitoring Systems, Security Measures, And Inventory Control Methods.
Experience In Retail Industry: A Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In The Retail Industry, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Management Role. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation In Understanding The Unique Challenges And Risks Associated With Asset Protection In A Retail Setting.
